Customer Testimonies
Tim and Barb,
When I looked online to find someone who could/would help us with a solution to refill our Pottery Barn sectional and chair cushions when it was discovered that the down feathers they were stuffed with were the cause of my husband's allergy and asthma problems, I never imagined I would find the exceptional service, true craftsmanship and personal dedication we found with you. From our initial phone call, to our first visit to your shop, to your visit to our home and then final delivery - every step in the process was amazing. It was clear from the very beginning that you were fully committed to finding the best solution for us, creative in your thinking and tremendously talented craftspeople who really care. Your follow-up, candid review of the options and unbelievable quality are attributes I did not think existed in business anymore.
We are incredibly happy with the cushions - not only are the troublesome feathers gone but our sectional and chairs look and feel better than they did when they were brand new. We have 10+ year old furniture that we love that is better than when we first brought it home and can now enjoy for years to come thanks to your incredible work.
As you know, when you were at our home, we showed you our wooden desk, two wooden end tables and two copper top tables we had that had various scratches/marks. We asked you to repair these for us too and the work on those is also absolutely incredible. Again, it is as though we have new furniture - but it is the things we have had and loved for some time.
While your workmanship is absolutely outstanding, I think it is your clear love of what you do and commitment to those you serve that really shines. I am so thankful that we found you and can't tell enough people about you and what a gem we have in the Fox Cities in Tim's Furniture Repair & Upholstery.
Thank you for making new the pieces we love. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Thank you for doing business in a way that others should model. If you ever need a reference for your work, please be sure to reach out to us. Happy new year. May 2018 be your best year yet!

"Appreciate the service you provided Tim. Was so comfortable last night not having to worry about the bed collapsing!! You mentioned fixing that "button" on the chair in my living room-- if going to be in area sometime, be happy to get that done. Just let me know."

Tim & Barb:
I want to thank you once again for the superb work that you have done for me these past two years as I furnished my new home. As you will recall, I originally met you when Wayfair contracted with you to repair a very expensive desk that I had ordered from them. The work that you did on that piece was so outstanding that I asked you to do additional repairs on furniture that I later purchased.
To date you have done dozens of projects for me. Each with the same meticulous attention to detail and the same unbelievable craftsmanship. From touching up items damaged in shipment to recoloring curio cabinets, to correcting manufacturing defects, to upholstering leather furniture. In each case your workmanship has been no less than spectacular.
As you know I love wood furniture and value detailed craftsmanship. I continue to marvel at your ability to correct, repair, color match and retouch virtually any type of furniture. In fact you may recall that I asked you to repair a deep gouge that movers had made in an oak panel door. To this day I can not find where the damage that had been done. The door is now flawless. Your workmanship is beyond anything that I have ever seen in many years of acquiring and appreciating fine furniture.
I could go on and on about the quality of the work that you have done for me. Suffice to say, I am most grateful. Your ability to transform a problem piece into a prized possession is a wonderful gift. Thank you for all of your great work.

We've used Tim's Furniture Repair & Upholstery for two projects. So far. The first was replacing removable seat cushions on our dining room chairs with attached cushions. Barb and Tim came to our house to determine if it could even be done. They threw out different ideas and agreed that they could do it. They measured and gave us information on how and where to shop for fabric. This was the first time we'd ever done anything like this, so that was very helpful. It turned out to be a very difficult job because the chairs are made of rosewood, which is a VERY hard wood. It was a challenge for Barb to get the decorative nails in without them breaking, but she was patient and "pushed" through. Tim also glued a couple of the chairs that had started to split. The finished product is so beautiful! It's so nice to be able to sit on the chairs and not have the cushions sliding all over the place.
The second project was updating the upholstery on a favorite chair of ours. We bought it back in the '90's and the fabric pattern was very dated. It was an expensive chair and very comfortable so we wanted to continue to use it. I met with Barb at their shop and she spent a couple of hours with me looking at fabric swatches. They carry many fabrics themselves, but also encourage you to shop at stores, should you wish. Their prices are comparable to what you would find in a fabric store and, in the end, we chose a fabric that they carried. The newly upholstered chair is beautiful and comfy.
We'll continue to work with Tim and Barb for any future refinishing or reupholstery needs. Their prices are reasonable and the quality of their work is outstanding! On top of that, they're really nice people!
